Ravindra Ramakrishna, M.D, fondly known as Dr. Ravi received his medical degree from Mysore Medical College, India. After completing his medical school, he moved to the United States and trained in Internal medicine from St. BarnabasHospital (Affiliated to Cornell University) in New York City. He worked as a Primary Care physician for a several years in Jacksonville, IL . He had a well established practice where he treated many patients in the Critical Care unit. This kindled his interests in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine and led him to further pursue a formal training.
He was accepted for the Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center ( UPMC ), Pittsburgh, PA. He trained in the field of Pulmonary Medicine from Cleveland Clinic, Florida, in Weston, FL. Dr. Ravi is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. His areas of interest include COPD, Asthma, OSA, Pulmonary Hypertension, ILD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Lung cancer, Bronchiectasis, Chronic bronchitis, Pulmonary nodules Insomnia, and Sleep testing.
Dr. Ravi believes in delivering high quality patient care with compassion and a personal touch. He is a good listener, empathetic to the concerns of patients and makes every patient feel that he/she is cared for.
He lives in Miami with his wife and his three young sons. In his spare time besides spending time with his energetic boys, he enjoys cooking, travelling, listening to classical music and watching movies.
